Mountain View Christian Church is a non-denominational, independent Christian Church. Our leadership is local, and our "official" beliefs come from the Bible. MVCC is led by team of leaders made up of volunteers and church staff, patterned after the church leadership structure described in the New Testament. Everyone can play a part and help serve and follow Jesus together.

MOUNTAIN VIEW CHRISTIAN CHURCH

What Can I expect when I visit?
When you enter the doors of Mountain View Christian Church, you can expect to be greeted by friendly people who are glad to see you. Church is a place where all of us, no matter our background or nationality or mistakes, can come to worship Jesus and lay our burdens down. On Sundays, you can expect a full worship team of musicians and singers, a blended song selection of both new and old, and preaching that opens up the Bible for our world today. Our goal is to not only make you feel welcomed and safe, but to give you the freedom to come to Jesus and know Him better.
How can I get involved?
One of the best ways to get involved is to simply attend on Sunday and jump into a small group on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. You can also grab a volunteer card at church, fill it out and drop it in the box. We want you do what you are passionate about, and to serve God in ways that you love!
Small Groups
Sitting in rows is fine. Sitting in circles is better!
Small groups include Sunday morning Sunday School with Bible groups for adults, while the kids enjoy Bible Academy! You can join by simply showing up! On Sunday nights you can get involved in a Men's or Women's group, or other specialized groups, and grow in your faith even more. Small groups are the best way to plug in and grow!
Ministry Teams
Completing a Spiritual Gifts and Passions survey is a great way to learn what gift(s) God has blessed you with. This is a first step to get involved with one of our ministry teams.

We believe...
CREATION
We believe everything was created by God, whether things in our physical universe or things in the spiritual universe. God made it all. The universe demonstrates God’s glory and reveals His truth.
So God... you have to admit, is pretty amazing. Human beings were created in the image of God to be His representatives on the earth. That was our original design. (Genesis 1:27-28)
SIN
The Bible says everyone is a sinner, not just some people, but everyone. (Romans 3:10, 3:23)
It started with Adam and Eve and the world was separated from God from the beginning because of sin. As a result, death and suffering continue on the earth even today. (Romans 8:19-21) Sinfulness brings the judgment of a Holy God but because God is also loving, Jesus died for our sins on to bring us back to God. (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
When we come to God as individuals, we talk about getting "saved." It refers to putting our faith in Jesus, which is more than just believing He is real, but putting our trust in Him in our life. So when someone says, "I put my faith in Jesus," it means they decided to believe and follow Him in everything. When someone makes that decision, they are baptized in water (Acts 2:38, Acts 16:31-33, Acts 19:4-5). Water baptism means that you are submitting your life to Jesus from now on (Galatians 3:26-27).

CHRISTIAN LIVING AND THE CHURCH
The Spirit works through the congregation of baptized believers, leading the Church to carry out God’s mission on Earth. The Church functions through the ministry of gifts given by the Spirit to each believer, and the Spirit-led leadership structure of the local body of believers
THE FUTURE
Just as Jesus ascended to heaven, He will also descend from heaven (Acts 1:11). Those who have died in the Lord will be raised to life forever. Those outside of God’s kingdom will be separated from God eternally. We do our best to interpret biblical prophecy in a straightforward, reasonably literal, and sound manner. We believe Jesus' return can happen in our lifetimes, or even today.
