WorshipJam

Sunday, September 7, following worship

All students, grades 6-12, who are interested in learning to play an instrument or singing with the Youth Worship Team need to come to these jam sessions. These jam sessions are held the first Sunday of every month.

We will also train students that are interested in learning the computer program that we use to run the slides during services.

Lunch is provided.

Getaway Conference at Ozark Christian College
Friday-Saturday, Sept 26-27

Cost is $75 total. $30 and registration forms due September 10.
This conference is similar to the Arkansas Youth Conference the middle schoolers attended in 2024 and SuperStart that the 4th & 5th graders attend each year.
If your student paid to attend AYC in April of 2025, they do not owe money for this trip, since we had to cancel the trip due to weather.

PLEASE NEVER KEEP YOUR STUDENT FROM ATTENDING A TRIP BECAUSE OF FINANCES!!!!
We have ways your student can earn the money to attend even if they are not successful with the benefit bingo.

The Annual Middle School LOCK-IN
Normally our annual lock-in is held in October, however, since we are attending a conference in the fall, we are going to move the Lock-In to the spring.

A Look at Wednesday Nights

Student may arrive between 5:15-6 pm and enter through the Youth Room doors under the basement awning, where they will sign in. Food is served during this time. Students may also hang out in the Youth Room, Gym and back yard until the program begins.

At 5:55 students will head upstairs to the sanctuary for announcements and worship. We may even play a crowd game or two.

This is where the Middle schoolers and High Schoolers separate. Middle school students will move to the gym or outside for an activity/game. After this they will go to the youth room for lesson time. (The high schoolers start in the youth room then have their activity time.)

After lesson time, all students meet in their small groups. These groups are divided by gender and level of school (high school boys, high school girls, middle school boys, middle school girls).

The groups wrap up around 8 pm, at which time the students may stay to play in the gym or hangout in the Youth room until 8:30 pm. This is up to the parent.

Each student must sign out in the youth room when they leave.

Please note, that sometimes we shake things up a bit. The schedule above is a typical night. Sometimes we go off campus for a Kingdom Work project. Sometimes HS and MS will be together for lessons or for a game (this rarely happens). And sometimes a small group leaders may decide to treat their group to a McDonalds run.

 

We are blessed with incredible volunteers that have had background checks and taken training classes. Volunteers always makes sure there are at least two adults present when working with their group.
